He even won our equivalent of the Palm D'Odr for this (the National Film Award). I thought watching OMkara and Maqbool together can be a great learning experience in right casting-while the former tells one of the perils of inadequate casting (Ajay Devgan, Kareena, Vivek) and the latter reveals to us how spot-on casting can elevate a film above even the most taut screenplays.
